This year’s shirt, designed by Brad Day, is a bit of an homage to the first 5erWest shirt (2010) but we used David Donohue’s E34 M5 IMSA racecar for the image. Printed on Denim Blue Hanes 6.2 tagless shirts, not only will it look cool, it will be comfortable, too.

Just want to say thanks to everyone that came to 5erWest 2018! It was a huge success for us and while it was a lot of work, we were excited to have over 100 cars in attendance at the show! We had an excellent drive on Sunday out to Hood River, Oregon with lunch at Double Mountain Brewery. 21 cars!

We couldn’t have done it without our excellent sponsors, Moosehead Engineering, 2M Shift Boots, Einhorn Industries, Motorsport Hardware, Turtle Wax, 425 Motorsports, Phyver Industries, Griots Garage and BMW Portland. If you were a lucky winner of a raffle item donated by one of these companies, please reach out and say thanks for their donation.

Of course, while the sponsors have been a big help, we couldn’t do this event without you – the attendees. This event certainly celebrates the 5-series cars in addition to other interesting BMWs, but more than anything, 5erWest is about the people. Some of us only get to see each other once a year and 5erWest helps make that happen. Thanks for your support year after year!

Now that the event is over for 2018, the planning will begin for 5erWest 2019 – our 10th anniversary event! Info will come to all of you as we get it, so keep an eye on this space.

Every year, people get excited to see the design for the official 5erWest shirt.  This year we are able to show it to you a little earlier than usual!  Thanks to the excellent work of Aaron Thomason, this design showcases the E34 touring as well as the Pacific Northwest.  You can add one or several shirts to your registration or buy them at the event.  Printed on a dark grey Gildan Ultra Cotton shirt, it will be a comfortable souvenir for years to come.

We’ve been working hard over the last few months and are super excited to see light at the end of the tunnel!  In just a few days, the event we’ve all been waiting for will be here!  5erWest 2017.  There’s still time to register if you haven’t yet.  Go to the “register” link above!

All of the location details are in the “Event Info” tab.  Should have everything you need to know, but I just want to throw out a couple of things.

Clackamas Inn has a couple rooms left, so if you need one and haven’t gotten one, get on it now.  It’s the best value you’re going to find in the area and those rooms will be sold to other people looking for a clean, comfortable lodging experience in the greater Portland metro area.

Just like last year, we will have the awesome Bro Dogs truck serving up awesome gourmet hot dogs and burgers at the Show and Shine on Saturday.  They were a hit and we are stoked to have them back this year.

On Saturday, we will also have some killer items in the raffle from Moosehead Engineering, Einhorn Industries, 2M Shift Boots, BMW Portland and others including a huge, handmade quilt fit for the most serious of BMW enthusiasts – it’s the ultimate quilt experience.

We will also, of course, have our awesome 5erWest 2017 shirts with the 5erWest logo on the font and featuring artwork from 5erWest attendee Aaron Thomason of Thomason Design on the back.  Printed on high quality, pre-shrunk Gildan Ultra-Cotton shirts, they aren’t only comfortable, but they fit real humans – not just mannequins.
