Well, we were waiting to try and work out the details to secure a new location, but things just didn’t work out as planned and since we’ve had so much fun at our previous location, we’ll be there once again this year.
I am working on updating this site and trying a new layout as I find the time to experiment.

As you can see, I’ve added a registration link on the top menu of this site. I need to fix the form so that it submits the info directly to us. Check back here in the next day or so as we work to fix this little issue.

I’ve also added a sponsors page where we will showcase those that support 5erWest! Please visit these sponsors and take a look at the products and services that they offer. We’re grateful to have their support.

Another big announcement is that we’ll be officially extending the event by hosting the 5erDrive on Sunday instead of on the same day as the main 5erWest gathering. I hope this will alleviate that “rush” to get things done and perhaps let some with busy schedules come out and play. Details will be posted in the “Event Info” page of this site.

Planning has begun!!

This year will feature a new, bigger and better location. As much as I loved the original site, we’ve just outgrown it thanks to all of our enthusiastic participants. Our new location is just a couple miles from Meldrum Bar Park and will feature more shade, more grass, more parking, easy access from the freeway and nearby overnight accommodations!!  The whole nwBMWclub community is very excited about our new digs.

Stay tuned! Registrations should start by the end of February.

If you take a quick look on the right side of this site, you’ll find that I’ve started to add links to some photo galleries taken by various attendees of 5erWest. If you have a gallery that you wouldn’t mind sharing with us, post a comment and include the URL of your gallery. OR, contact me at 5erwest@nwbmwclub.com and we’ll get it sorted out together.

I’d also love to create a nice archive of cars that were at the show this year. I’ve sent out an email requesting your favorite pic of YOUR car taken at 5erWest along with your name, username and car info. Please send this info to the email listed above.

Wow! Once again I’m so impressed with the BMW community here on the West Coast. I’m so proud to say that you all made 5erWest another HUGE success this year. Thanks also to our sponsors who helped make this possible for a 2nd year. Tyler and I are already talking about 2012. I’m sorry if you didn’t get a chance to pick up a tee, but I’ll be looking into doing a “late” run. (not as late as last year… sheesh) Check out the Facebook group for announcements, as well. If you took photos, PLEASE post them here or on the Facebook page, or on your favorite forum… I didn’t even pick up my camara. 🙁
